His 2.19 run support average is the lowest of the 112 qualified major league starters, and his ERA ranks in the top 20 in the AL. He has allowed three runs or less in 12 of 17 starts. Nine times he’s accomplished that feat when he’s lost or not earned a decision, including May 19 against the Angels.
Los Angeles Angels had their four-game winning streak snapped Wednesday in a 5-4 loss to Detroit. Still, they’ve won seven of their first nine of a 13-game homestand. Los Angeles Angels' Jered Weaver has seemed to recapture his early season form when he won his first six starts with a 0.99 ERA. The lanky right-hander is 4-0 with a 1.58 ERA over his last six outings, not giving up more than three runs in any start.
