They made a minor move Sunday, acquiring center Petteri Nokelainen and minor league defenseman Garrett Stafford from Phoenix in exchange for center Brock Trotter and a seventh-round pick in 2012.

Winnipeg Jets will head out on their own season-high, seven-game trip. They’ll face New York during the sixth stop on that journey Nov. 6. Jets' Chris Mason is 3-0-0 with a 2.46 GAA in four career matchups but gave up four goals in the most recent one. He earned his first win of the season after replacing Ondrej Pavelec in the first period, helping to keep the Hurricanes 0 for 7 on the power play. Jets' Chris Mason held onto the lead Saturday by making 11 of his 18 saves in the third period. Winnipeg Jets had totaled 11 goals over their first six games, scoring just once three different times.
