Washington Nationals will try to get back to .500 against Atlanta’s Tommy Hanson, whose start was moved up a day to give All-Star and 12-game winner Jair Jurrjens some extra rest. They tied a season high by committing five errors in the opener, including three by first baseman Michael Morse. He had one in the first half of the season. Coming off a successful return that helped secure a milestone win, Prado and the Braves will continue their series with the error-prone Washington Nationals on Saturday night.
Atlanta Braves' Tommy Hanson was snubbed for the Midsummer Classic despite yielding just seven runs while winning five consecutive starts June 1-July 4. He was dominant again last Saturday against the Phillies, allowing a run and four hits in seven innings of the Braves’ 4-1, 11-inning victory. He is 0-1 in two starts against Washington this year. The loss came in his season debut April 2, when he gave up four runs in 3 2-3 innings before a rain delay forced him from the 6-3 defeat. Martin Prado is 9 for 27 with four doubles against John Lannan, who makes his first start for Washington since avoiding what first appeared to be a devastating injury.
