San Diego Padres trailing 3-2 in the sixth, Cameron Maybin had a two-run triple and scored on rookie Anthony Rizzo’s single. San Diego Padres Heath Bell had runners on second and third with one out in the ninth, but worked out of the jam and lifted the Padres to their 10th win in 13 games overall. San Diego Padres continue their four-game set with the Giants on Wednesday night. They have enjoyed their visits to northern California for most of the last two years.
San Francisco Giants' Madison Bumgarner struck out a career-best 11 over seven innings and allowed one run and six hits in San Francisco’s 3-1 victory. He followed that Friday with another strong outing in Detroit, but didn’t get a decision in the Giants’ 4-3 loss. Bumgarner fanned nine and yielded one run and five hits in 7 1-3 innings.
