He will try again to notch his first major league win for Houston.
Florida Marlins have won back-to-back games twice under McKeon, but have been outscored 16-5 when trying to win a third straight contest. Florida Marlins' Javier Vazquez, who beat Houston on April 9, has won his last three starts against the Astros dating back to Sept. 8, 2009. He allowed two runs and six hits in six innings, but didn’t get a decision in a 6-4 loss to Texas on Sunday. He has allowed five runs - four earned - in 23 1-3 innings since June 16, but has gone 1-2. Still, Vazquez’s ERA has dropped by nearly 1 1/2 runs over the last three weeks.
